The Story Behind Joseph & Eric Uzar

 Joey Uzar

Hello! I'm Joey,  I founded The Adventures of The Potato People™, a comic series following the lives of a mischievous cast of characters. Today, I continue to write and illustrate their adventures.  You will always find me with a drawing pad and pencil or Ipad, sketching nature, paleo-life, or comic adventures.

I am an animator, storyteller, and digital creator driven by an insatiable curiosity for the natural world. My journey as a creator began with a love for paleo-life, which quickly evolved into a fully realized digital art project: The Adventures of the Potato People.

I used my art as a way to share the wonders of science and Earth's history with the world. This passion thrust me onto the cover of NFT Kids Magazine and gave me the incredible opportunity to step onto national stages—from Miami NFT Week to San Diego—speaking to crowds about art, technology, and environmental sustainability.

But my passion for "creations" doesn't stop at the digital canvas. Today, I am channeling that same drive, discipline, and reverence for life into the biological sciences and veterinary medicine. Whether I am examining 100-million-year-old fossils from the Cretaceous period, conducting field exploration in the Florida scrubs, or providing hands-on medical care to vulnerable baby squirrels and local fauna at the Peace River Wildlife Center, my goal remains the same: to protect, heal, and enrich the living world around us.
